Encouragements

Dear Mr. Chen,

I want to thank you for introducing me to the Hope School Foundation.  Your presentation was truly inspirational.   I admire your generosity and commitment to such a worthy cause.   It was eye-opening to learn how your foundation gives children, teachers, and parents opportunities that most of us take for granted.   Your love and devotion to the community should be known around the world.  I have passed on this website and information to friends and family, and they will pass the message along as well.   Our office will also be holding a fundraiser for this amazing mission sometime next year so we will keep you posted.  It is encouraging to see the progress your foundation has made and such great accomplishments deserve recognition and praise.  Thank you for your dedication to humanity.  May God bless you and all you touch.

My sincerest thank you,

Mia Vogel (12/21/2010)

I was so inspired by the presentation that my co-worker, Alan Chen, made on the Hope School Foundation.  It was so eye-opening to see the conditions that exist or did exist and how a few people can change things for the good of these children and the dedicated teachers and staff.  Our office is looking forward to sponsoring a fundraiser next year for this worthwhile project.  Thank you for your inspiration and may God Bless You and your Foundation!

Brother Alan:

Sorry for my delayed congratulation!  I was crazy busy (from work) after I came back from Thanksgiving vacation to see kids in New York/D.C.

It was thrilled by reading the comments from your colleagues and friends on your “Mission in China” presentation at work on 12/8/10.  As a member of Chen’s family, I have to grab this opportunity to say something, too; to express my (our) gratitude to God who makes today’s you.

Your (and Annie’s) passion and efforts to help those needed kids simply passed a message to us that what kind of “meaningful life” could be.  If you had kids, forgive my saying, brother, you would have been turned out one of us (siblings of yours) – ordinary, selfish, small heart, narrow-minded….  On the other hand, there are so many couples who have no children but they are as ordinary like us.

Because of you (and Annie), those children have smiles; because of you, those children have hopes; also because of you, those children know “how to appreciate” which is the most precious gift to be given by you!!

I have always had a chat with our mommy every morning before work.  This morning, she told me that she was enjoying/sharing your glorious fulfillments with her friends and our grandma up there since day one.  She wanted you to move on continuously!

Bother, we are so proud of you!!

Your younger sister, Sue (12/14/10)

Dear Sue,

It’s a great compliment, but I cannot take it for granted.  As you said: Annie & I are just ordinary people.  Whatever we did, ordinary people with love will do too.

We are so lucky and happy, because we have stable jobs, good health and especially we have ability to share our love with those desperately poor kids in China.  It has nothing to proud of.  We just did whatever we should do.

We have so many friends and people like you, some of them we even don't know, who supported us a lot.  Those supports, concerns, shares and cares are magnificent and extraordinary experiences and meanings for us.  We have no excuses for quitting and no complaints against any hardships we met.  We hope we can do better, more and keep doing for the rest of our life.

Thank you again and wish you all have a wonderful holiday season and a New Year filled with peace and happiness.

Your brother Alan (12/14/10)

Dear Alan:

I have known you for about 24 years now.  I have always known you to be a hard working individual with a clear and opened mind.  A very persistent, and determined person.

I have always know that you have a big and caring heart.  You particularly feel very strongly about kids, their education, and their need for better opportunities to become good and productive citizens of their communities.

Your presentation yesterday was proof that you pursue your feelings with passion and commitment.

I am very impressed by what your foundation has been able to accomplish in China, and the opportunities that it provides for young children in China, particularly in less affluent areas that lack facilities and resources to properly educate them.

You, and your foundation are true inspiration.  There is so much simple people can do to help the less fortunate, but very few actually do.

Congratulations on your great work, on your achievements, and more importantly on your commitment to help children that need it.

Best Regards,

Jaime Rosenbach (12/09/10)

Alan,

Alan!

Alan!

Alan & Annie,

Thank you so much for sharing your schools and your website.  Alan!  Your love, efforts and your students' success are amazing!

When I saw that you and Annie sat among thousands of the children with big smiles in your home page picture, I was so touching and happy for you.  I am so proud of you and proud to be your friend.  You should be very proud of yourselves.  With caring and love, you have done so much for those poor children, students and families.  You have shown them our God's love; you & Annie are true Christians and our models.  When you give, God will give you more.  I believe that your real story will inspire more people to follow your steps.

God bless you and your children,

Warm regards,

Rose Lan (12/05/10)

Hi Alan & Annie,

Thank you for sharing your story with us.  Your story can inspire and encourage people to do the same; and, I admire you for your determination, consistence, and reached to such a success.  You had demonstrated true Christian's love to people.

Both of you looked so happy, energetic, & young in the picture; you had given us a wonderful example.

GOD Bless Us,

Anna Wang (12/05/10)

Alan and Annie,

You two are so blessed by our loving Lord.

Dear Rose, Anna & Chang-Huey,

Thank you very much for your warm and kind encouragements.  Annie & I sincerely appreciate your supports.  They make us feel: 「

It is amazing.  My company wants me do the lunch talk for my mission in China on Wednesday (12/08) 12:00 to 13:00.  This morning I got a email from one of our church friends: 「每年的12月8日,是聖母無染原罪始胎節。

It really shows our good LORD's mercies and graces to me.  Now, I really have no worries but share them God's loves and my passions with my colleagues.  Please pray for me too.  Thanks.

Alan (12/06/10)
